Whats the difference between aggressive skates and inline skates?

Aggressive skates are inline skates.

Their design is different from recreational skates so that they can do the stunts better.

In order to do that:

The wheels are smaller, harder, and have a square profile so that they are more stable when landing from a jump.

The boots and frames are heavier to take the abuse of jumps.

The frames are designed with a gap (and a notch) between the 2nd and 3rd wheels so that you can grind sideways on a rail or edge.

There are a number of replaceable "grind plates" so that the plastic that is worn off while grinding can be replaced.

Rec skates have larger, soft, rounded wheels that roll better and faster and absorb shocks while skating.

There are also specific design features on inline skates designed for slalom tricks, hockey, figure, and speed skating.
