An old roommate in college had a cool exercise kit that I loved and really want to find now. It simulated inline or ice skating, but was very low-tech -- it was just a pale blue plastic mat that you fixed to the floor, and you put matching blue booties on your feet, and you could mimic the side-to-side skating motion on the mat almost perfectly. I remember getting a really good workout the couple of times I tried it, and I would love to find it again, but I have no idea what it is called or who might sell it.
I have a feeling that they exist, but I am just calling it the wrong thing. Has anybody seen such a thing? Better yet, do you know where I can buy one?
Where can I find an indoor "sock skating" kit? Mat and booties...?

Hmmmm . . .maybe I'll get one (wink)! Good luck!
Reply:My grandma has one...I can't remember what it was called, but I believe that it was made by Reebok. I would try your local sporting goods/exercise equipment store, and describe it to them and see if they can help you.
Reply:Nobody YOUNG knows what you are talking about.
