is kayaking, inline skating or tango lessons a recreational activity?
Recreational activities?
Deffinition from Meriam Webster Online dictionary (www.m-w.com/)
Main Entry: rec·re·a·tion
Etymology: Middle English recreacion, from Anglo-French, from Latin recreation-, recreatio restoration to health, from recreare to create anew, restore, refresh, from re- + creare to create
: refreshment of strength and spirits after work; also : a means of refreshment or diversion : hobby
Since many people do them for fun as diversions, they are recreational activities.
They may not be what everyone wants (I am a lousy dancer) but they are common forms of recreation
Reply:Kayaking - Yes
In line skating - Yes
Tango lessons - No Anything described to me as lessons would be going to school . Not recreational. After the lessons then - Yes . Dancing can be recreational.
