Rollerblades and Inline Skates are the same thing. Rollerblade, as the others have said, is a brand of Inline skate. "Inline Skates" is just the generic term for a roller skate which has its wheels aligned in a single row, and the company "Rollerblade" is simply a famous maker of such skates, and if I'm not mistaken, was involved in their invention.
This type of thing happens all the time - for instance, we might walk into a pharmacy and ask for "Q-tips", but we could just as easily get our point accross by asking for "Cotton Swabs", we're just used to one particular manufacturer making the product we're looking for, so we call the product itself by a brand name instead.
Okay - are they inline skates or rollerblades? Or is there an actual difference between the two?
You're welcome! I'm glad I could help! Report It
Reply:Both- but Rollerblades is a brand name of inline skates.
Reply:yes roller skates have four corners and four wheels
inline skates have six to eight and are in a line
Reply:I believe that the name Rollerblades was a brand, or trademark of a type of inline skates.
Of course, I could be totally wrong.
